WHO KILLED ALEX ODEH?

synopsis
Winner of the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Journalistic Excellence at Sundance, WHO KILLED ALEX ODEH? revisits one of the most consequential unresolved political assassinations in modern American history. In October 1985, Alex Odeh, a beloved Palestinian American teacher, community leader, and civil rights advocate, was killed when a tripwire bomb exploded at his office in Santa Ana, California. The film follows a renewed investigation in real time as new leads emerge, long-buried records surface, and journalists, activists, and investigators seek answers nearly four decades later.
As the investigation deepens, the story broadens into an examination of the Jewish extremist networks behind the attack and the institutional failures that allowed those responsible to evade justice. Through archival footage, firsthand testimony, and original reporting, the film traces how the ideology that fueled Odeh’s murder evolved over time and continues to shape political discourse today.
